Mary Frances Shaughnessy | Anthony
Colella | Howard J. Lazarus
Mary Frances Shaughnessy is a broadly
experienced asset manager with expertise covering all aspects of property management and
conversion. Her in-depth experience in financial and budget planning has enabled the
TRS team to lead our client buildings through sometimes difficult transition to better
economic health. Mary Frances works with institutional owners, co-op boards, and
lenders, ensuring that all parties are kept abreast of significant events and are
continuously provided with all necessary information for timely decisions. She
previously managed the conversion of seven buildings at Tudor City (2,500 units) to
cooperatives. Also, she has extensive experience in community and Landmark
activities, including six years as Parks and Landmarks Chairman of Manhattan Community
Board #7 and as a founding Director of the Riverside Park Fund. This experience
enables her to deal smoothly with government agencies and commissions. She received
Habitat Magazines Management Achievement Award in 1990 and 1993.
Anthony Colella is a seasoned
property and project manager with extensive experience in day-to-day building operations
as well as supervision of capital improvements. With his guidance, the TRS team has
produced a successful history of staff reductions, building employee terminations,
operating efficiencies, and other improvements of the buildings we manage. Anthony
is a past recipient of New York Habitats Management Achievement Award. In
addition, he is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and has a degree from
Pace University in Real Estate/Finance.
Howard J. Lazarus is an attorney and real
estate developer and investor with thirty years of experience in dealing with
institutional investors, banks, and developers in all phases of real estate. He
serves as our general counsel and directs our extensive management information systems
which are recognized by accountants, institutional owners and board members alike as being
state-of-the-art. He heads all of our in-house technology efforts, and is responsible fo r keeping Tudor Realty in the lead when it comes to using technology to keep owners, managers, and residents informed and connected. Until June, 1984, he was a partner in the law firm of Trubin
Sillcocks Edelman and Knapp. As a partner in the real estate department, he
coordinated and led multi-lawyer teams in the handling of substantial and complex
transactions in New York City and nationwide. His former clients included several
banks. While this work was performed in all parts of the real estate cycle, it
included substantial experience in the crises of the mid-seventies and early
eighties. He also has extensive experience in directing and coordinating all types
of real estate operations.
